Assessor: The Fall River County Department of Equalization is accepting applications for a permanent full-time certified assessor. Applicant must have excellent customer service, computer, math, written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to read maps and understand legal descriptions. Applicant must have assessor certification or be willing to obtain. Experience in construction, real estate, or appraisal is a plus. Submit applications to the Department of Equalization. Working day is 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Position does require overnight travel a couple times a year for training. Starting wage $12.00/hour for certified assessor, $9.50/hour for uncertified with increase upon certification. Position has full benefits: health insurance, SD retirement, annual & sick leave.
