2019 Assessment Notices

2019 Property Assessment Notices will be mailed out to all property owners by March 1, 2019. All property owners should review the information on the notice for accuracy. Any changes we have made to your property, such as classification, legal descriptions, and values will be reflected. If you do not receive a notice, or if you find any errors on your notice, please contact our office.
**REMEMBER** You CAN NOT appeal your tax bill, but you may appeal your assessed values. For more details regarding the appeal process and appeal deadlines, go to our website at fallriver.sdcounties.org . Our job is to maintain fair and equitable assessments. Meeting Postponed!

The Oglala Lakota County Commissioner Meeting that was to be held today, Friday, March 1,
2019, has been postponed until a later date due to road conditions.

We will announce it as soon as we have a new date.

Courthouse Closed – Presidents Day

The Fall River County Courthouse will be closed Monday, February 18th, 2019 in observance of Presidents Day. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, February 19th, 2019

Tax Notices 2019

Landowners in Oglala Lakota County should be receiving their tax notices in the mail this week (Jan 14th).   Taxes are due in two payments.  The first half is due by April 30th, the second half by October 31st.

If you do not receive your tax notice please contact the Treasurer’s Office at 605-745-5145.

Taxes can also be viewed online using the County’s WebTax program.
