TREASURER’S OFFICE – NOTICE OF TEMPORARY CHANGE IN HOURS

Beginning July 1, 2026, the Treasurer’s Office will be closed daily from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Last customer must be at the window by 12:30 p.m. to ensure processing is complete by 1:00 p.m.

Summer Reassessment – Field Work Complete

The assessors have finished their field work for the 2026 Oglala Lakota County summer reassessment. Our teams have moved on to their field work for Fall River County. If you received a yellow tag asking for more information please call the office at, 605-745-5136, to leave your contact information. Your assessor will call you back when they are in the office.

Summer Reassessment – Week 2

Week of May 25th: Monday – holiday. Weather permitting the assessors will be back out on Tuesday to finish remaining properties. These include most of the properties accessed from highway 18. Some properties further off the road were not accessible this last week due to rain. Some of these assessors may return to in later summer or fall.

Courthouse Closed – Memorial Day

The Fall River & Oglala Lakota County Courthouse in Hot Springs will be closed Monday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day.  Regular office hours will resume Tuesday, May 26th.
